Andreia Esteves is a writer and researcher covering gender, psychology, and culture. Her work has appeared in Greatist, SAPO24, and Revista Pessoa among other publications.

I am the author of the flash fiction stories Bar da Aldeia na Penumbra (published by Edições Húmus in 2022, Portugal) and Excursão Têxtil (published by Amora Livros in 2023, Brazil). I also contributed to the collaborative fiction piece Fecundo, published in the Brazilian literary newspaper Rascunho. Personal essays and op-eds have been featured in Revista Pessoa, SAPO24, and PS (formerly POPSUGAR), among other outlets. As a regular contributor for Truity Psychometrics and Healthline Media, I’ve written extensively on mental health, wellbeing, and personality psychology. 

In 2022, I was shortlisted for the Portuguese National Showcase for Young Creators with my short story collection O Forno: Histórias de Desejos Culinários. In 2024, I was also writer-in-residence at Lapa do Lobo Foundation in Lapa do Lobo, Portugal. 

As well as writing and editorial work, I’ve given talks and facilitated bibliotherapy workshops in partnership with Creative Mornings, Gerador, and other institutions. I graduated from the University of Lisbon with a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Cultural Studies, and earned a Postgraduate Certificate in Fiction Writing from Lusófona University.
